Our Mission:

To collect and organize the best "how to" articles, product reviews, resource lists, test results, tutorials, pointers, and curated news for computer network professionals.

Our world is changing rapidly from self driving e-scooters, streaming media service congestion, Internet overload, work-from-home security challenges, to 5G and Wi-Fi 6.

About Me:

Lyle Weiman is a Silicon Valley veteran, lived in California most of his life. He worked at many Silicon Valley companies including Hewlett Packard, Zilog, Data Systems Design, Infloblox, and Cloudshield.

Lyle has worked with operating systems and communications networks. He has set up test harnesses for evaluating voice quality under adverse network conditions, and regression-testing. Despite having fought the foreign- language requirement necessary to graduate, he's programmed in 20 different languages (programming languages have at least _some_ core logic to them :)

Lyle received his undergraduate degree at UC San Diego, and an MS degree from San Jose State University. Network Reporter is one of Lyle's hobbies -- allowing him to dabble in tech and tech projects, but answer to no one! Lyle is semi-retired. Besides Network Reporter, he enjoys gardening, using Raspberry Pis to fill various needs around the house, his seven wonderful grandchildren, and spending time with family.
